yoga...

Oh, yoga. I like the idea of yoga. I actually went to a class once. By the end of it, I thought I was going to die. I was recently informed of a free yoga class taking place on Saturday mornings. It sounded like a good idea at first. You know, do a little yoga, get my workout on, feel a little better about my growing stomach. Then I realized that this class was 2 hours long. 2 hours?! No thanks. There is no telling how many potty breaks I would have to take. I'll just stick with my 30 minute pilates. :) What's the average time length for a class anyway?

daddy's girl...

I've decided that my husband is going to be putty in little Caroline's hands. He swears that she will not have him wrapped around her little finger, but I think otherwise. I've seen what having a baby girl can do to a man (my father, for one) and I'm sure he will be just smitten. Actually, I'm pretty sure he already is.

They are much cuter in a size 2 than a size 15. :)

so, if you haven't heard...

We are having a girl! I've already celebrated by buying a few cute things. This should be fun...

cravings...

Being pregnant does some very strange things to your body (duh!). Aside from my growing belly and a few pains here and there, the most crazy thing for me is cravings. Some things that I used to love I just can't stomach and things that I could do without I'm wanting all the time! Its weird. Cravings so far in my 19 weeks of pregnancy...

I've never been a fan of sprite because it always reminded me of being sick to my stomach as a kid, but now I love it! I've always liked potato skins, but I've been wanting them constantly. I bought four boxes last time I went to the grocery store. :) As for the pickles and sour candy, I'm not sure where that came from, but pickles were one of the only things I could eat at the beginning without feeling sick. I ate pickles for breakfast a lot in the first trimester. I've now moved on to sour candy. I can't get enough. My go to is sour straws. I also ate a lot of fruit in the first trimester. That has died down some, but I still love strawberries! Probably one of the worst things I eat, and the thing Carl can't stand, is this...

I love them. I don't know why. All of the bad stuff (which most of it is) I try my hardest to eat in small portions. Sometimes I'm successful, sometimes not, but I'm pregnant. And, I've only gained 7 pounds so far. :)

summer rain...

I'm a big fan of rainy summer days...

All of the images above are via weheartit. I've never used the site before and thought I would try it out. There are some amazing photos, but it is so slow! I was also sad to find out that the phrase in the third photo are lyrics to a Boys Like Girls song. I don't know about you, but I'm not a big fan of those guys. Anyway, I really enjoyed our little shower, but now I have to be productive and hit the grocery store.

this morning...

I'm looking forward to both of these things. Yummy breakfast and yard sales with friends? I'm thinking the best Saturday morning ever.

Enjoy your morning! :)

scrapbooking machine...

Here are the layouts I did yesterday. It was definitely time to do some wedding pictures!

I'm really enjoying getting back into scrapbooking. Today I need to do laundry, but I think I will scrapbook instead! :)

too much info...

Sometimes I just want a simple answer to my simple question. I do not need your opinions on breast feeding. I do not need you to tell me I need lots of diapers. I do not need your thoughts on returns and gift receipts and how many onesies I'm going to go through. I'm going to be a new mom, but I'm definitely not stupid.

Ok...just had to get that off my chest. I've been scrapbook crazy since yesterday and did 2 more layouts. I decided it was time to get some wedding pictures added to the album of me and Carl. I really like how the second one turned out, but I had to redo the first. I just wasn't feeling it. I'll share those later! :)

Hope your hump day is grand!

feeling crafty...

I decided to start on the Baby H scrapbook and made layouts for the ultrasound pictures. I didn't want to use the originals so Carl printed out copies for me. Just thought I'd share...

My pages all start to look the same after a while, but I still love the way they turn out. I've been into the same materials for a while now and its obvious in this album and the one I made of me and Carl. Right now my favorites are ribbon, buttons, staples, brads, tags, and borders. Every now and then I bust out my stamps and Cricut. I need to use both of those things more often. A few weeks back I found a ton of vintage lace at an estate sale. I bought a huge bag of sewing material (including the lace) for a dollar! There were a lot of fun colors and I just had to use some on these pages! One thing that I have a hard time with is page journaling. I can't seem to get my handwriting how I want it and I'm not a big fan of typing and printing it. Anyway, I haven't made any layouts in a while and I really enjoyed it. It also helped me take my mind off the fact that I was feeling sick. For a little while anyway...

one more thing...

If you love fun vintage goodness, check out my Etsy shop! Hopefully I'll get some handmade things on there soon, too! My shop/seller name is ellahandlilly. :)

omg...

This morning Carl headed off to Central Baptist to help lead worship and I decided to stay home and relax. I hopped on Etsy to look for fun vintage and I came across one of the most fantastic things I have seen in a while. I'm in love. I'm smitten.

With the bathing suit. Not the model. This is the most wonderful one piece. The colors and the vintage feel are just perfect. Since the hubby and I are planning on taking Baby H to Florida next summer, I'm thinking this should be a present to myself for the hardships of giving birth and getting back to my pre-pregnancy size. :) Or, hopefully getting back to my pre-pregnancy size. This lovely gem comes with a high price tag...$140. I'm thinking it just might be worth it. Maybe. I do love it so. How much is too much for the perfect swim wear?

Oh, and if you're on Etsy and want to check them out, the seller name is ladramaqueen!

new wheels...

I would really like a new car. Not necessarily brand new, just new to me. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my car. Its 3 years old, and with the exception of the tiny dent in the driver side door, in good shape and fine working order. It is also still being paid for. I have around 2 years left on my loan. I bought it brand new and its in my name. I was proud of this accomplishment. The only negative thing about my car is that it is a two door. I'm thinking that might start to get old having a baby in tow. A four door or small SUV would give us a little more room and be much better for traveling. I have a few cars in mind that I like, but to afford them and still live comfortably, it would have to be used. I'm not against used cars, but I really liked buying my car brand new and being the first one to own it. How do you think having a baby with a two door car would work? I'm just not sure...

change...

I recently read a blog and was asked this question at the end..."Any big changes happening for you this year?" Hm...let me think. Well, I got married. That's a pretty big deal. I was married a little over a month when I found out I was pregnant. Another big deal. My husband joined the Air Force, too. Any big changes for me? Nah...

This past weekend was probably one of the busiest weekends we've had in a while. I still think I'm recovering from it. Yesterday the hubby and I discovered two things: #1. We can bake a mean blackberry pie and #2. Pushing Daisies is one of the best T.V. shows! I'm pretty sure its canceled, although I really wouldn't know since we do not have cable. Seasons 1 & 2 are in our Netflix instant que, so that's pretty much what we did yesterday. I love it! It has a retro feel and the clothes are amazing!

I guess this is what inspired us to make a pie...

the closer we get...

The more we can not decide on a name for our nugget. I thought the boy name was set, but now we are throwing around some others...Walker & Emery. This is when triplets would be nice so I could just use all of the names! Hm...on second thought, no! We've also mentioned Maylene for a girl. Maybe we can just draw out of a hat.

Last night was Sarah & Adam's rehearsal dinner. I started off tired, but then got my second wind and Sarah, Ashley, & I headed to the theatre to see Eclipse. It was kind of cheesy, but the best movie in the series so far. I definitely laughed at parts that I'm pretty sure weren't meant to be funny. I finally crawled in bed close to one and had the best night's sleep I've had in a while.

Tonight is the wedding! I'm excited for my friends! The guys are out playing golf and all of the girls are meeting at 11 to get our hair did. Carl left the house this morning in his golfing attire, a navy golf shirt and plaid shorts, that he bought just for this occasion. He looked cute, but the thought of him playing golf makes me chuckle. He is not a very sportsy guy. Anyway, if I don't get in the shower soon and get my stuff together, I'm going to be late. Happy 4th!
