etsy...

I started my Etsy about 2 years ago. My first thought was to sell some of my paintings. That might still happen, but since I have lots of extra vintage goodness, I thought I'd share. :) Some things I'm sad to part with, but one gal only needs so much. If I don't start getting rid of stuff, Baby H will not have a room. Anyway, after having it set up for 2 years, I finally listed things! You know what else? I've already sold something! I really didn't think things would move that quickly, but I'm not complaining. Carl is shipping it for me tomorrow. Good husband...

Anyway, in less than a month we find out if our little nugget is a guy or gal. I'm excited to say the least. I'm just ready to put a name to this tiny person. So...girl or boy? What do you think?

Oh, one more thing. If it is a girl, maybe some of you can talk my husband into the name Ella Claire. :)

pregnant woman woes...

I hate money. Is anyone with me? Things are really tight for us this summer because my pay tremendously decreases during the summer months. I go from having a decent salary to pennies. Ok, not really pennies, but it seems that way. I make less than half of what I usually make. It stinks. Of course, I have the constant reminder that God is our provider. Sometimes I try to argue with God about this, but He always wins. Usually by proving me wrong in a big way that only God can. And I like that. Because I know he isn't trying to scold me or get on to me for not having enough faith. He is just once again showing me that He is God and that's enough. Hm...why do I still worry?

Anyway, today is rather lovely aside from the money issue. It has been raining for a while now. I love summer rain. I have massive amounts of laundry to fold, but I plan on season 2 of "The Hills" helping me get through that. I can only watch these shows when Carl isn't home. He pretty much hates it. I guess I can't blame him. It is kind of lame, but I still like it. Call it a guilty pleasure I guess.

there's a baby in there...

If you didn't already know, I work at a preschool. My job is fun and exciting, sometimes stressful, and just the place to go if you need a good hug or a good laugh. I get both of those on a daily basis. Yesterday I walked into the gym with my kids and Kyleigh, a kiddo from one of the older classes, came running to me. She greeted me with a hug like usual and then put her head and one hand against my belly. The conversation went a little something like this...

Me: Kyleigh, what are you doing?

K: I'm doing this because I think there's a baby in there. Is there a baby in there?

Me: Yes, there is a baby in there.

K: How did it get in there?

Me: God put it there.

K: Are you sure?!

Me: Hm...yes, I'm sure.

Situations like these are why I've stayed at my job for three years.

the name game...

We find out in a little over a month if we are having a girl or a boy. That still seems like forever away, but I guess if I've waited this long, I can wait a little longer. Our boy name is pretty much set in stone. We picked it out at the beginning and it hasn't changed. Our girl name, that's a different story. We just can't seem to agree on anything except for Caroline. I really like Caroline, but its hard to give up on some of the others that I love. Here's a short list. :)

There's just so many cute names! Carl isn't a fan of any of those. Geez... Our girl name started off as Isabella. I still like that name, but Twilight kinda ruined it for me. Now we are on to Caroline, but we do not have a middle name. I really think Caroline Elizabeth is adorable, but Carl doesn't like that either. Maybe it will be a boy and we won't have to debate. Jonah Brice it will be...

back to work...

My 4 day weekend went by too quickly. I really do not want to go back to work. I guess I see all of my teacher friends with their summers off and I get envious. Work is not terrible and I only have to work 4 hours today. Yeah, I know, I have it tough. :) I've been feeling a lot better these last few days. Today makes the 12 week mark! I guess getting out of that first trimester really does help. The other night I stayed up until 11:40! That's a big deal for the woman that has been going to bed at 8 or 9.

So last Friday after my appointment, my mom and I did some running around and I found fun treasures. I told you I would share, so here it is...

I can't decide what my favorite thing is from this trip. Maybe the His & Hers mugs? Or the owl book ends...

A while back I mentioned something about our dinning room chairs. They are all recovered and I still had fabric left after covering 6 chairs! That was definitely worth the 50 cents!

This fabric is much better than the dark brown leather that previously covered these chairs.

One more thing...does this take anyone else back? I've been reliving it...
